VERBAL BEHAVIOR
AT P231K
Evidence-Based Support for
Communication & Learning

Our Mission
At P231K, we implement a program called Verbal Behavior to provide evidence-based behavior analytic services to learners with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our mission is to foster meaningful growth through direct support and the training of families and educators.

We create positive, structured learning environments that empower students to develop communication, social, and life skills. These environments are designed to support progress that extends beyond the classroom into community and family life.

All Learners Have Potential
Every student can develop beyond their current levels and should be free of behaviors and activities that cause injury, pain, or limit opportunities for full community involvement.

Evidence-Based Practices Leads the Way
Our instruction is grounded in the science of applied behavior analysis, drawing from a well-established body of research to guide our practices and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Communication is Foundational
We use B.F. Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior and reliable student data to inform decisions, measure progress, and ensure that each individualized support is aligned to student needs.

How We Teach
At P231K, Verbal Behavior instruction is implemented through highly individualized, data-driven teaching strategies. We focus on natural environment teaching, discrete trial training, and the use of motivating items to build communication, play, and functional skills.

Learning in Action
Our classrooms are dynamic, inclusive, and adapted to each student’s needs. Instruction often takes place during natural routines like snack time, morning meetings, and play, allowing students to learn in meaningful, real-world contexts.

Progress Monitoring
We use continuous data collection to monitor student growth and adjust teaching methods. Staff analyze behavior and learning trends weekly to ensure that interventions are effective and personalized.
